What to Expect at Your First Session
If you've never experienced Myofascial Release before, it's natural to have questions. Here's what a typical first visit looks like so you can arrive feeling relaxed and prepared.
Before Your Session
You'll complete a short intake form covering your health history, areas of discomfort, and what you're hoping to achieve. This helps me tailor your treatment from the very first touch.
When You Arrive
You'll be welcomed into a calm, private treatment space. We'll have a brief conversation about what's brought you in, any recent changes in your body, and your goals — whether that's pain relief, improved mobility, or simply feeling more at ease. During Your Session MFR is performed directly on the skin without oils or lotions, so you'll be asked to undress to your comfort level — most clients wear underwear or light shorts and sports bra. Sustained, gentle pressure is applied to areas of restriction. This isn't like a traditional massage — it's slower, more intentional, and works with your body rather than pushing through it. Many clients feel a gentle unwinding, warmth, or a sense of deep release during treatment
After Your Session
It's normal to feel deeply relaxed, a little emotional, or temporarily more aware of your body. Drinking plenty of water afterwards supports the process. Some clients notice immediate relief; for others, changes unfold over the following days.
